🌟 Let Fresh Minds Light the Way for Healthcare Innovation!, My Contribution to innovation in life science at HTW 🌟
For months, Paula Salme Sandrak and I have been immersed in developing and refining solutions and frameworks to some of healthcare’s most pressing challenges. From expanding system capacity to enhancing care of patients in chronic diseases , our focus has been on delivering and conceptualizing high-quality, rapid AI-driven solutions. 💡💪

Last week, we had the opportunity to showcase some of our thinking and work at the UBIQ events Digital Health Conference in Lisbon. TThe suggested concepts and future frameworks stirred debate and hope, something we hoped for - and it seemed, not baselessly. 🌍🚀

While discussing our work on digital twin technology in health AI with my friend Soham Saha, Ph.D., he recognized the topic’s fit for his Innovation in Life Sciences course at MBA & Engineering in Life Science Management Programme, HTW Berlin, Germany at HTW. We were invited as guest lecturers - due to time restrictions, I took on the classroom teacher role, but Paula has full credit as my co-developer. 🎓🤝

Something quite unexpected happened next.

In Lisbon, our business-focused audience had zeroed in on the immediate, practical business challenges—understandable for seasoned problem solvers who need to solve current issues. The MBA students of HTW, on the other hand, approached healthcare from a surprisingly fresh angle (for me), emphasizing long-term vision and creative potential. I found their insights inspiring! A few highlights:

“AI is the artistic partner to science.” Science deals with facts, while AI can help uncover and explore these facts, adding a creative dimension that transforms dreams into achievable realities. 🎨🔬

“Bridging the gap between AI engineering and life sciences is a game-changer.” Students viewed this integration as essential for reshaping healthcare with transformative, long-term impact. 🤖🧬

“Basic education on AI’s potential in life sciences is vital for effective strategic planning.” They saw foundational knowledge as crucial for making informed, visionary decisions. 🎓📊

These comments aren’t about the immediate business challenges we face. Instead, they focus on bringing the very best to a critically challenging sector. While addressing current demands is essential, these conversations reminded me that the future of healthcare needs not just practicality but also imagination and a longer-term vision than this year’s balance sheet.

When we’re deeply involved in solving immediate business challenges, we often become expert pragmatics—but we may miss opportunities to ideate, craft, and integrate brilliant ideas. And perhaps this is precisely what fresh minds can bring to this critical sector.🌟

I went to teach, excited to share my knowledge, but I didn’t expect to learn as much as I did from the students. A learner’s mind!🎓✨
